<p class=MsoNormal style='text-align:justify'>Impacts of Amazonian deforestation on climate and hydrology
The presentation will start with an overview of the deforestation process in the Amazon
basin and how this may develop in the future. This will be used as a background to discuss
the impact of land use changes on the climate (with emphasis on rainfall and carbon cycling) and hydrology. Some methods will be described on how these impacts are assessed in the Large-scale Biospere Atmosphere experiment in Amazonia (LBA).
