The senate of Stuttgart University has conferred the honorary degree of Doctor-Ingenieur upon Majid Hassanizadeh. Majid has been nominated by the Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering of Stuttgart University, and the nomination had been supported by three other faculties. The whole process had taken about two and half years. Here you can find the letter of award. The citation reads: “in recognition of highly significant and pioneering work in the area of development of fundamental theories of multiphase flow and transport in porous media." The award certificate will be given to Majid on November 14th during the yearly academic ceremony of Stuttgart University.” Majid had been also selected as Fellow of American Geophysical Union in 2002 and as Fellow of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) in 2007. We wish him lots of success in his future private life and research. |
